International Center & All About Pets Show

Today, we visited the All About Pets Show. A Big thanks to The Little Pig Farm Ontario for letting us join in on the fun today and visit with the little piglets! E also got to play with a baby Kangaroo today! Another big thanks to Hands On Exotics for letting us have that experience as well!

We will be contacting Hands on Exotics for S' 1st birthday!

Both girls had a great time today, and bed time was very easy tonight! lol

Spring/Easter Shoot

We did the shoot this weekend and it turned out great! I put up some teaser photos for all of you to look at and I'm continuing to edit today and have them all given to my best friend soon!

It was a beautiful 12*C day yesterday and we got a lot of sun. Not only did we do a photo shoot, but we spent the rest of the afternoon outdoors.

Today, however, is rainy and depressing again and Monday is suppose to be 1*C. What? Spring clearly just wants to tease us before it chooses to stay for good. Even though that groundhog was WAY off base this year, we're still enjoying those days where we can go outside in sweaters and not have to worry about the snow - just sunshine.

"Cool Baby"

This has been a thing in our family from the time my sister came along. I'm not too sure if people did it with me as well, but I can remember as far as when my sister was born.

We seemed to start a tradition of "cool baby" every time she was wearing her sunglasses. P and I would do it with E and we've now started doing it with S as well. Its the little things. I really hope E & S pass it down to their kids when they have them. It would definitely make me smile.

E has now had at least 10 pairs of sunglasses since she was a baby. lol

Another E Moment: a little bit of TMI

  • E: Mama?
  • Me: Yes?
  • E: Is there a hole in our throat so the food can go down to our tummy?
  • Me: Yep. Do you want to see?
  • E: Oh. Yeah.
  • Me: *showing her a human body skeleton on Google* See, the food goes in your mouth and then it travels down, down, down, down into your tummy...
  • E: Oh...and then down, down again?
  • Me: Mhm, it fills you up in your tummy and then you digest it - which means breaks it down into pee/poop.
  • E: *gives a such confused/disgusted look* O.o What?! What are you saying to me?
  • Me: Its true. Food turns into poop.
  • E: O.O

Coffee First

I seriously have to get out of this funk I'm in. I couldn't sleep last night so I ended up staying up until 1 am. It turned out where I still couldn't sleep and tossed and turned all night and then before I knew it - our daughter was in our room telling me that her sister needed me. I managed to crawl out of bed at 740 am this morning in zombie mode, only to find out that we had run out of milk and the empty bag was still in there. I saw the bag yesterday, but it was shaped like there was one more bag in it.

Needless-to-say, I didn't exactly welcome 8am with open arms this morning - and not even realizing that it was Good Friday
(even though I've been looking forward to the long weekend all week).

Plus, we've had to put a No Soliciting sign up on our door, because we're constantly getting people coming to our door (and ringing the doorbell no less) anywhere between 10 am - 9 pm. It seems since we've put that sign up, more people (more often) have been coming to our door like its the huge sign saying come one, come all! The next sign I'm going to put up will be "DO NOT RING THE DOOR BELL, WE HAVE KIDS THAT NAP!"

All I want to do today is crawl into a dark hole and sleep all day.

I am, however, looking forward to the photo shoot that I'm doing today with my ladies. I can't promise my eyes are going to be fully opened when that time comes, but I'm going to make a good effort. lol

Its definitely a bonus that both girls are in a great mood today - one is napping and one is planning under the kitchen table as we speak.

My best friend is coming today and we're making some Greek food for dinner tonight and we're going to have a girls night. E going to stay up late and I'm probably going to be fast asleep with S in her room at 730 pm. lol

Happy Easter long weekend everyone! I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend with your families!

Photo Shoot

This weekend, I'm doing a photo shoot with these ladies with one of their aunties. I have a million and one ideas and I don't know what to do first. lol

Its going to be a beautiful weekend except for Sunday, we're supposedly getting close to 5 mm of rain. I'm hoping the weather doesn't decide to switch out on me, because I would be pretty disappointed. But we're definitely going to try and make the most of the weekend as much as we can.

On that note, I'm one tired mama so I think I'm going to put my feet up for the night - and relax.

Oh, its 10:15? I guess its past my bed time...

Tin Man and Lion and Scarecrow OH MY!

Our oldest daughter has her first play coming up in school. Can you guess what they're doing?

We're not too sure if we're able to be there or if its just an in-school play, but I'm hoping we can go.

She's playing Glenda and she's going to be saying about 6 lines. We've been going over them and she's been doing very well already!

I can't believe she's going to be 5 this year...I tear up at the thought! :(

Hello! My name is Selina and I'm 27 years old. My husband and I will be married 5 years in June and together we have two beautiful girls. Our oldest will be 5 in October and our youngest will be 1 in August.

I am currently in school for Lifestyle Photography but also looking into expanding the horizon and doing more than just one area of Photography. I opened my own business Sweet Spot Photography in 2011 and everyday I work on making it a little bigger.

I have been lucky enough to be able to stay at home with both of our girls and even though it is not always an easy task, I am so glad that I have been able to watch them grow into the little people they are thus far.

On this blog, you will find anything to do with parenting. This blog is an official "mommy blog" and it is as stereotypical as it can get. I will be writing about my good days and bad days as a parent as well as tips and tricks that I have learned or found laying around the internet. I am not going to lie, it is going to be mainly from Pinterest.

I decided to start a public blog because as a stay-at-home mom, sometimes you just need that getaway and write your heart out. Sometimes the stress gets too much and you just need to talk to someone and what better way than to talk to people who are in the same position and lifestyle you are. So...this is my little space to do just that!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog. I am currently switching over from another blog. Bare with me while I slowly build this one.
